born in edinburgh, hazel is a 22 year-old sound recordist and designer. in her final year studying ba (hons) film at edinburgh napier university, hazel is currently in post-production sound for both of her graduation films, bowl and familiar strangers. she has worked on a range of short films over this time, gaining experience in directing, location sound recording and post-production sound design/mixing.
one of her films, last ticket to the filmhouse (2022), was nominated for best documentary at the 34th cinemagic international film festival (2023) in belfast.
after graduating, hazel plans to gain experience in scottish post-production houses while continuing to work on independent documentary and narrative short films in her spare time.
